This is both a model railway and a challenging logic puzzle. The track plan was designed over 60 years ago by John Allen as the basis for switching competitions in the USA.The object of the puzzle is to match the coloured pins on the freight cars with the colours of the pins on the ground in front of the various industries located around the yard. The layout is set in the downtown industrial area of a large American city with most businesses relying on rail transport. Locomotives are typical switchers, most fitted with sound and lights. Freight cars are all weathered from photographs and are typical of those seen today.
